Email Advantage Over Letter

‘Email advantage over letter, wherever possible’

This passage explains an exception to the term ‘use of letters for official purposes is still widely popular and acceptable to great extent’, used in the second paragraph of the section ‘Formal Letters’. The title of this passage is its very exception.

You might be familiar with the fact of adopting environment friendly policies by big organizations today who promise to implement them as far as possible. One such policy is about the importance of paper saving or reducing paper usage in organizations. An example of a bank can be used to explain this policy and our exception.

Most banks today prefer that their customers only subscribe for quarterly, six monthly and/or annual bank statements in print form. For daily, weekly and monthly subscriptions, they offer e-statements as an alternative. This serves three main purposes:
  • Reduces paper usage.
  • Is economical, mostly free of cost.
  • Gets delivered on time.
Today, as the world is getting more and more commercialized and businesses are growing and tend to offer more services than before, use of formal letters have also grown. There are many different categories of business letters today and you will find most of them on our blog. To name them- claim letters, inquiry letters, notices, legal matters, are just a few.
